Harry Potter acceptance letter.

Tuesday, April 22, 2014

So, yesterday was one of my best-friend's birthday and since I'm running a little low on greenpaper lately I decided I should make her something. Ever since we met, there was always a common interest we shared by tv shows and books, one of which being Harry Potter. So, I put together a little something and got her an acceptance letter from Hogwarts. She seemed to love it!

When in doubt, watch this.

It occurs more often than not, we doubt ourselves, our work, our smallest decisions. And we will make mistakes, but aren't those just a part of life? So, this video is for everyone who has ever felt this way. And if you haven't, you will at some point.

Jasper and Zoey: A rescue dog and her little boy.

Sunday, April 13, 2014

About Zoey:
Zoey is a 7 year old rescue mutt from Taiwan. She loves hiking, playing fetch with her toy squirrel, eating crumbs off the floor, and Jasper.

About Jasper:
Jasper is a 10 month old Chinese-Korean mutt from Los Angeles. He loves going for walks, eating pancakes and meatballs and yogurt and oatmeal and cereal (sometimes all together), and his best furry friends Zoey and Maeby.

Zoey and Jasper’s mom is a commercial photographer specializing in animals, lifestyle images, and celebrities with their pets. When she isn’t furiously editing photos during Jasper’s nap time, she likes to garden and watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Weekly finds: From Stockholm With Love.

Wednesday, February 26, 2014

I've always been fascinated by nordic culture & everytime someone asks me what would be a place I'd love to visit or move to, Stockholm would always be in my top 5 answers and more often then not some would ask me: "But why?" and I wasn't really able to answer that with the clarity I'd like to, mostly because there were so much answers and the certainty that it's a great place going on in my thoughts that I wasn't able to put it into words. I'm glad I now have a way of answering why in less than two minutes. This video shows some lovely moments captured throughout Stockholm, it somehow gives me a warm feeling in the heart, like it's home. I miss places I've never even been to, have you ever felt this way as well?

As of lately: new camera lens.

Saturday, February 15, 2014

Since the age 13, I've always been into photography. In some ways it was the way I've found to entertain myself and help with my social skills (back in the days where the main reason to take snapshots of daily-life was to put it up on this website called Fotolog), which it did. But after some time it grew to be the one thing I love the most, reading about it and therefore learning new stuff never felt like work, i.e boring or an obligation. Well, I was never rich but my parents were able to get me a DSRL right after a disastrous incident with selling my superzoom canon online (I've got screwed by some jerk who sent a fake confirmation email from the site, he never really paid me). I chose the Nikon D60 because it was the one who felt more robust in my hands at the time for the price they could afford and since then I've been adding some little upgrades, like getting the 50mm f/.1.8 which was my favourite lens up until now.

If you know something about entry-level Nikon cameras is that they don't have an internal focus system, which means that most lenses won't have autofocus with 'em unless they were specifically made for the DX type of Nikon cameras, I was recently able to buy the Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 which has autofocus with my camera body and I couldn't be happier with it, giving the crop factor the lens results in a close to 52mm in full-frames so, hey, it's kind of like using a really expensive body with a not-so-expensive lens. Below are some shots of it (taken with the iPhone by the way and even further down some frames from the last couple of days using the lens itself).

Weekly Finds: Skyliners.

Friday, February 7, 2014

Since I was little kid, the thought of flying has always been a constant in my mind. Sure, I've been in & out of airplanes ever since I was born and being amongst clouds was always a pleasure experience but I somehow felt there was more, that the walls containing me inside of man-made machine were unnecessary. It was only a few years later that I thought of doing any activity that would make possible for me to fly but these gentleman below, they are the real deal. I'm not sure I'd have the guts to try that myself (even though I'd like to think that I do), but the Skyliners tried to do this extreme form of highline: walking a line between two hot air balloons.  Whilst watching it full screen, I felt so alive I can only imagine what they had felt when trying it and isn't that what's important in life? To try? So here's a reminder to all of us, to try different things and be satisfied the way these new experiences turns out. As my old man says: There's always room for improvement. So here are two of my favorite moments of it followed by the video itself that even got featured on the Staff Picks of Vimeo.
